REGULATIONS
The Medical Center Campus Library provides four (4) group
study rooms in the library for student use.
- The group study rooms are available first come first
served for up to two (2) hours. The rooms may be reserved at the Service Desk
by presenting a valid MDC ID. The rooms may also be reserved by telephone up
to 24 hours in advance by calling 305-237-4129. Have your valid MDC ID
available when you call. Reservations will be cancelled after a ½ hour if no
members of the group sign in at the desk or if two members of the group are
not present.
- A group consists of two (2) or more people. As these
rooms are small, groups are limited to six people.
- Group study rooms are to be used for academic purposes
only. They are not to be used for social gatherings, non-academic projects,
etc. Rooms are NOT to be used by instructors for class sessions,
meetings, evaluations, testing, etc.
- A group study room may be used for a two-hour time
block. During non-peak times, a room may be used or renewed for an additional
two hours if there are no groups waiting.
- As in the rest of the library, PATRONS ARE
PROHIBITED FROM BRINGING IN FOOD, EATING, SLEEPING, SMOKING OR USING ANY OTHER
TOBACCO PRODUCTS IN THE GROUP STUDY ROOMS. LOUD TALKING AND CELL
PHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED. THE ROOMS SHOULD NOT BE USED AS PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
ROOMS. The College is not responsible for any personal belongings left
unattended in a group study room. Please remove personal items when you exit
the room.
- To use equipment in the rooms, present a valid MDC ID at
the Service Desk for a wireless keyboard, mouse, and a remote control
