The Opticianry (Vision Care) Program welcomes students enrolling on a part-time basis.  Day and evening part-time class options enable the non-traditional student to balance career, family, and other responsibilities.

The program coordinator and academic advisors will help schedule a logical progression of courses suited to the unique needs of the part-time learner.  Miami Dade College Medical Campus wants to make sure your experience is positive and successful.  Completion of the part-time Opticianry program earns an Associate in Science Degree that qualifies the student to sit for the Florida Board of Opticianry Exam.  The Associate in Science Degree program will also prepare the student for the American Board of Opticianry Exam and the National Contact Lens Exam.

The part-time courses will be delivered face-to-face with web enhancements and in a blended format (50% on-line and 50% on campus.)  Therefore, computers and electronic devices are required.
