Project MÁS Goals and Accomplishments

  • The library has been renovated and remodeled to expand student-dedicated quiet space and to provide better work areas for library and media staff. In addition, library hours have been extended.

  • A technology-equipped 'study haven' where students can study comfortably in groups has been created.

  • Twenty-three faculty members have and/or are receiving training and support in the use of instructional technology to promote student learning through Project MÁS. Faculty have attended workshops on test construction and on competencies assessed with licensing exams. Six additional faculty members are now being 'mentored' in the use of educational technology by their colleagues who have been participating in Project MÁS since January 2003.

    • Twenty-five courses and seminars have been or are scheduled to be web-enhanced, and faculty are using technology to implement new instructional strategies and improve teaching methods.
