of supporting students with disabilities. While the employment rate
for the general population is in the 5% range, the unemployment
rate for working age individuals with disabilities ranges from 50
% to 79% even though the vast majority can work and want to work.
The MEED Program proactively responds
to this situation by providing short term college and vocational
training and job placement assistance." |
