Miami Dade College/MEED Program 2004 graduate Judith Thompson recently secured a full-time job at Miami-Dade County Government's Housing Finance Authority. Everyday, she has a chance to apply the skills she learned through the College's Customer Assistance certificate program to her challenging position as receptionist in a busy County Government Department.. The MEED Program's PWI Special Employment Services assisted Judith in resume preparation and interview techniques. These services helped Judith succeed in being selected for a prestigious one-year Clerical Outreach Internship with Miami-Dade County Government's Employee Relations Department. Judith's excellent performance as an Outreach Intern resulted in her being hired into a permanent position in Spring, 2006. Judith says, "The MEED Program was very good and very helpful. It made a big difference. The staff was very aware that I was trying to become re-employed, and they did everything possible to help. And.it worked!"

In 1996, William Oberheiser began working at Carnival Cruise Lines after successfully completing the Miami Dade College/MEED Program's PC support specialist track. He has steadily advanced in his career at Carnival Cruise Lines, receiving his most recent promotion in 2006. William says, "Going through the MEED Program was the decisive factor for me getting the job. The training was comprehensive, and the career development portion taught me how to market myself. The results have been wonderful."
