  1. Please be considerate. Turn off cell phones and headphones or set them on vibrating mode before entering the lab.

  2. Please be respectful. The lab staff is here to help you in whatever way we can. In return, we ask that you be respectful and courteous.

  3. Please be patient. We have many students who need our assistance. Allow us time to respond to you.

  4. An MDC ID card is required to use and log into the lab.

  5. Academic dishonesty. Cheating of any kind is not allowed. You are NOT permitted to copy software answers from another student and present it as your own. Doing this is plagiarism. The result will be disciplinary action and/or failing the course as outlined in the Student’s Rights and Responsibilities Guide.

  6. Lab materials may not be taken out of the lab.

  7. Notify Center personnel when leaving the lab. If you do not return within 5 minutes, you will be logged out.

  8. Unauthorized Internet access is prohibited. Please ask a staff member for special permission to use the Internet for class related purposes only. You can pick up personal email in the Campus Computer Courtyard.

  9. Keep your work area clean and push your chair in when leaving.

  10. No guests allowed (including children). This is a College policy.

  11. If the lab is full to its capacity, students will be limited to 2 hours on the computer. Students will be asked to sign a waiting list or to come back at another time.

  12. No food or beverages are allowed. Please do not eat or drink around the computers.
