  • Country Reports on Human Rights Comprehensive full-text reports by country, released by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor

  • Derechos/Human Rights Created by an Internet-based human rights organization to facilitate the finding of human rights information on specific regions or countries of the world.  Includes a list of links to human rights information on various countries.

  • Concise Guide to Human Rights on the Internet A comprehensive guide showing how to use the Internet to find human rights information.  Includes annotated links to general websites, the United Nations (UN), the Organization of American States (OEA), the European Council, Treaty Collections and much more!  Developed by the Derechos/Human Rights organization.

  • Directory of Human Rights resources on the Internet This directory provides descriptions and links to hundreds of human rights organizations worldwide.  Organized by site name, by subject, and by geographical focus.  Compiled by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Science and Human Rights Program.

  • Amnesty International Official site of the Amnesty International organization.  Includes latest full text news releases, recent reports, internet groups, and reports on particular countries.  Excellent, informative site.

  • International Criminal Court Comprehensive list of links about the International Criminal Court.  Includes full text documents, articles, and a list of relevant links.

  • International Human Rights Organizations: Primary Documents and Other Information Sources Developed by the Case Western Reserve University Law School.  Includes bibliographies of relevant printed materials at the University Library and full text links to International organizations.  Caution:  some links are broken.

  • International Court of Justice

  • Human Rights Organizations & Resources Comprehensive list of human rights organizations, other organizations doing human rights work and resources useful to human rights activitsts and researches.  Organized  by international and national/regional listings, also by regions.  Developed by the Human Rights Web organization.  Caution: some links accessed through Gopher.

Subject Search Engines

  • Getting Online for Human Rights Comprehensive guide, in a FAQ format, about using the Internet in human rights work.  Credits go to Stephen Allyn Hansen as the personal author, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and Human Rights Program as the corporate author.  Full text.

  • Meta Search Engine for Human Rights From the University of Minnesota Human Rights Center.  Includes instructions on how to use this excellent search engine.

  • IGC Internet Maintained by the nonprofit Institute for Global Communications (IGC).  Grassroots site to provide a forum for different organizations dealing with such issues as peace, justice, human rights, democracy, etc.  Includes alerts on currents issues and headline news.
