Exploring Religions   Provides comprehensive information on Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam & Judaism. Created by the University of Wyoming.
International Religious Freedom Report 2001   The annual report from the U.S. State Department to Congress mandated by the International Freedom Act of 1998. There are 195 worldwide reports in this year's report.
Islam, Islamic Studies, Arabic and Religion   This is perhaps the most comprehensive academic website on Islam and Islamic studies.
Jewish Encyclopedia   This site "contains the unedited contents of the 12-vol. Jewish Encyclopedia, which was origianlly published between 1901-1906. It has over 15,000 articles and illustrations and is searchable. Covers Jewish history, law, theology, philosophy, literature, biography, and traditions." It does not cover modern Jewish history - the creation of the state of Israel or the Holocaust, etc.
Orion Center For the Study of the Dead Sea Scrolls   From the Orion Center in Jerusalem, this site has information, news articles, and a virtual cave tour from the discovery site of the scrolls. The site index has an alphabetical list to additional sources of information.
The Catholic Encyclopedia   The text of the first edition of the Catholic Encyclopedia, a 16-volume set considered a classic reference work in the field of religion, is now available online. 1,452 scholars from 43 countries contributed articles to this edition of the encyclopedia.
The Pluralism Project   The purpose of Harvard University's Pluralism Project is to study and document the growing religious diversity of the United States.
The Religious Movements Homepage   This website is dedicated to the study of religious movements on the Web and in the world.
Virtual Religion Index   An excellent indexed site from Rutgers University Religion Department.
