all academic search   A catalog of free academic resources on the Internet. This clearinghouse indexes over 200 refereed journals with a browseable list of 350+ academic journals listed by discipline. Searches display results in APA, MLA or Chicago Style.
BUBL   This subject-based site developed by librarians is now a UK national information service. It is one of the first of its kind on the Internet.
INFOMINE   An academic, searchable reference database from the library of the University of California. It contains over 20,000 links (many annotated) relevant for faculty and student research.
Internet Public Library   A searchable annotated reference center hosted by the School of Information at the University of Michigan.
Librarians' Index to the Internet   Excellent searchable annotated subject directory of more than 7600 Internet resources. Developed by the Berkeley Public Library. A good place to start for researching a topic.
O'Keefe Library   The resources on this award winning site are simply categorized. Check out "Resources by Major" and "Online Reference Resources."
Ready Reference Collection (IPL)   From the Internet Public Library, this Ready Reference Collection is an annotated listing of web links to help answer typical library reference questions.
refdesk.com   A portal for facts and reference on the Internet. Find here marvelous miscellaneous resources such as astronomy picture of the day, moon phases, atomic clock and "The Why Files!" Check out the "Find Anything" link for subject indexed resources.
Robert's Rules of Order Revised   From Bartleby.com, this is the well-known classic manual of parliamentary procedure.
Scout Report, The   A searchable and browseable index to resources on the Internet selected and reviewed by librarians.
Statistical Resources On The Web   Excellent resource for all types of statistics developed by the librarians at the University of Michigan Documents Center.
The WWW Virtual Library   A guide to thousands of websites covering a wide range of topics. The Virtual Library is the oldest catalog of the Web.
Voice of the Shuttle   This highly indexed site from the University of California at Santa Barbara emphasizes resources in Humanities and the Social Sciences.
xrefer-The Web's Reference Engine   An online reference library (from England) of encyclopedias, dictionaries, and thesauri all cross referenced in one place. Search by topic and keyword. Includes a title list of books in the database.
