The Elements of Style   The online version of the classic grammar and writing book by William Strunk Jr.
Writer's Handbook   The Writer's Handbook of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Writing Center has sections on academic writing (research papers, critical reviews, scientific reports, etc.), grammar and style; peer reviews; documentation styles,etc.
Writing Techniques Handbook   This handbook from the University of Illinois' Writers' Workshop gives useful tips on topics such as writing an essay exam and writing paragraphs.
