Group Lessons & Theory Classes

Group classes allow students to enjoy the challenge of learning together and the sharing of their performing arts development. Group instruction occurs in early childhood classes such as, piano classes, guitar classes, music theory, music history, computer music lab, as well as large and small vocal and instrumental ensembles.

Knowledge of Theory is an essential tool for all musicians, providing them with a common technical language and a means of understanding the organization of music. Music Classes will study the written and aural elements of music. Notation, signs, symbols, scales, chords, intervals, rhythms, and form are some of the concepts included at the primary levels in the study of theory. A placement exam will help determine the appropriate level course for the student.

Students may enroll for any program of lessons, classes and ensembles for which they qualify. For further information, please call The Music Learning Center, Miami Dade College Preparatory School at North Campus (305) 237-1407.

Discounts available for parents registering more than one child in group lessons or for students registering in a group lesson and an ensemble.
