Browse Students’ Program Objectives
Direct Commands: AD SO MO; AD SO PR; AD SO
PG; AD SO BH; AD SO BA; AD SO PN
General:
Although there are at least 6 different browses that can be used to view either the program objectives for a student, or to view lists of students by program, several of them appear to be more useful than others.
Procedures:
You must specify the program objective number and a
term on this screen. If the student is an applicant for the program, the term
is the effective term of the program for that student. If the student has been
admitted to the program, the term is the term the student was admitted to the
program. You may specify: The browse shows the following data for each student
selected: Student Name You must specify a program objective and a term.
The term you specify is to get a list of students that are enrolled for at
least one class in the specified term. You may specify the following:
The following data is displayed for the students
selected: Student ID number You must specify a student ID number. You will
then see all the programs that this student have ever had. You may specify a program objective number. This
could be useful for a student who has had many different program objectives.
By entering a program objective number, the browse will begin with that
objective. You may also enter a term, if you have entered a
program objective. Then the browse will begin that program and effective term.
This is not very useful. The browse will display the following information about
the student’s objectives: Objective Status (Active, Inactive or Graduated) You must specify the program ID and an effective
term. You will then view all the students who were admitted to
this program for the term specified. If you have the appropriate security level for this
screen, you may also either dismiss or purge students from the program, or
admit students into the program. For each student displayed, you will see (on panel 1) Student ID number For each student displayed, you will see (on panel 2) Expected Graduation Term if the student has applied
for graduation You will then see a list of all programs for the
specified student in order by program ID. You will see, for each program
selected: Award Type Code (e.g., AA, AS, ATD, ATV, AAS, ND)
To view a list of all students
who have either applied for, or have been admitted to, or graduated from any
program, the most useful browse seems to be the "Browse Program Applicants"
(AD SO BA) screen.
The admission status of the students to be displayed: If
you only want to see those students who have applied for the program for the
specified effective term, but have not yet been admitted, then use a "1". If
you only want to see those students who have been admitted to the program
for the term specified, but not yet graduated, use a "3". If you only want
to view the graduates from the program who were admitted for the specified
term, then use a "2". Leave this field blank to see all 3 categories of
students.
A date: If you enter a date in this field, the browse
will only show those students who were added to this program and effective
term on or after that date.
A name (or really a part of a name): If there is a long
list of students who you think have been added to a particular program and
you are only interested in viewing students whose names begin with a certain
letter, then you can enter something in this field and the browse will only
view those students whose names begin with the characters input in this
field.

class on that specified campus/center.
