So it's been a few years since you were in school. That's okay. You're not alone. The average age of MDC students is close to 27 with 38% over 26 years of age. Like you, many adults apply to Miami 
Dade to obtain a degree or to secure a vocational certificate so they can move up in their career or change careers.

Our NEW online application that makes applying quick and easy. In less time than it takes to drive to your job or pick up your child from school, you can fill out our online application. You will subsequently receive a letter welcoming you as the newest member of the Miami Dade College family.
Tips for adult learners:
- The application will ask you what major you are interested in pursuing. Learn more about majors and degree options.
- The online application will ask you to provide information about your Florida residency. This is important as it will affect your tuition. Students who are not Florida resident pay a much higher tuition. Learn more about Florida residency requirements.
- Before you begin the application, take a few minutes to think about what campus you would like to attend. (You can take your general education courses at any campus, except the Medical Campus because it specializes in only health-related courses.) There is a box on the application to indicate your campus preference. Your online application will ultimately be sent to this campus for review. Regardless of which campus you choose, you may take classes throughout the entire Miami Dade College system.
- As part of the application process, you will need to mail us your official high school transcript with a graduation date.
