    What are the required courses in the program?  
   

 
   
The courses include Fundamentals of Law, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Trial Preparation, Trial Practice and Appeals, Torts, Criminal Law, Family Law, Wills, Trusts, and Estates, Law Office Management, Business Law, Real Estate, and Accounting. Seminars are given in Ethics, Computer Assisted Legal Research, Real Estate Closing Transactions, and other selected topics. Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis are available for students to use for academic purposes. Instruction is given in legal software applications for calendaring-docketing, time and billing, and litigation management. Job placement and internships are available..
 
       
    Where and when are the classes offered?  
       
   
Classes for the Paralegal Studies Program are currently available at the Wolfson Campus in Downtown Miami, FL at selected times in the evenings. Evening classes begin at 5:40 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Fundamentals of Law and Business Law are also available at the day time hours. Each of the legal seminars are held for two Saturday sessions from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 
       
    How long will it take to finish and how much will is cost?  
       
   
The length of time it will take to complete the program depends on how many courses the students registers for each term. Courses are available three terms per year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. Full-time students can complete the program in two years. Part-time students normally take three or more years to complete the program.

Students pay for the number of credits taken each term. The present cost for residents to complete the degree is less than $4,000 (including books). Non-resident cost is about threefold higher. Costs may increase marginally from year to year.

Tuition can be paid at the Bursar’s Office by cash, check, or credit card. If qualified, students may be eligible for grants or loans. For more information about paying for courses, please contact the Financial Aid Office at (305) 237-3244.
