The Theater program is committed to providing students with the training necessary for continued success in academic or professional fields. Our approach combines sound theoretical and technical instruction with a variety of performance opportunities geared toward the abilities and needs of the individual student. Small class sizes allow for rapid technical growth while our varied performance opportunities and spaces present the chance to put theory into practice in front of enthusiastic and supportive audiences.

Literature selected for performances always places emphasis on the actor (as opposed to design) and we have been pleased to present work of some highly regarded playwrights including Tennessee Williams, Harold Pinter, and Neil LaBute. The Program also supports the work of student directors and writers with performance opportunities when appropriate.
