Amy Ibberson is associate professor of music and director of vocal studies at MDC Wolfson Campus. She holds a Master’s of Music in Opera Performance from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s of Music Education from Florida Southern College. Professor Ibberson’s directing credits include I Love You’re Perfect, Now Change, Side by Side by Sondheim, Oklahoma!, And the World Goes’ Round, Nunsense, Dido and Aeneas, Into the Woods, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Guys and Dolls and H.M.S. Pinafore. As a performer, Ms. Ibberson’s operatic roles include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Despinain Cosi fan Tutte, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, Euridice in Orfeo and Euridice, as well as other soprano roles. She is also an active member of the Association of Teachers of Singing. Her principal teachers have been Elizabeth Braden, Dr. Joseph Spann and Anne Elgar Kopta. Her students have attended prestigious schools such as the University of Miami, Florida State University, Boston College, and Berklee College of Music.
