| In the Miami Dade College Hospitality
Management program you can acquire a practical and theoretical foundation
for the skills and leadership in the exciting fields of hotel operations,
cruise line operations, resorts management, and/or convention planning.

- The Hospitality Management Program combines traditional classroom
lectures with laboratory and hands-on experiences.
- Your Associate in Arts degree or Associate in Science degree will
enable you to transfer to a four-year school for a bachelor’s
degree in Hospitality Management.
- Associate in Arts: The
two-year Associate in Arts degree includes a wide variety of technical
courses, plus instruction in written and oral communication and human
relations.
- Associate in Science:
You must complete 60 credit hours for an Associate in Science
degree. Emphasizing hands-on training, the two-year Associate in Science
degree requires you to complete an industry internship. Practical training
and classroom theory give you the skills needed to qualify for employment
in the hospitality field.
- Associate in Applied Science:
The AAS degree offers specializations in Lodging Managment,
Food Service Management, and Cruise Line Management. Emphasizing hands-on
training, the two-year Associate in Science degree requires you to complete
64 credit hours as well as an industry internship. Practical training
and classroom theory give you the skills needed to qualify for employment
in the hospitality field.
- Certificate Programs: For those seeking specialized,
for-credit training, certificates are offered in Rooms
Division Management, Food
& Beverage Management, and Cruise
Line Management (coming soon).
- Job Placement: The Hospitality Management program
can assist you with job placement with industry-related full and part-time
