Transportation Assistance: Monthly MetroPasses are available to a limited number of income-eligible R.E.V.E.S.T. participants. To apply for a MetroPass, you must submit an application form together with proof of income before the 20th of each month for the following month. MetroPasses are awarded on a monthly basis. They are not renewed automatically. Students must be registered for classes that meet a minimum of 4 times per week to be considered for a pass. To be eligible to receive a pass, a student who is registered for a class that meets 5 times per week cannot have more than 3 absences per month. A student registered for a class that meets 4 times per week cannot have more than 2 absences.
Transcript Translation/Evaluation: Translations and evaluations of foreign earned credentials will be subsidized for students who are income eligible. The program will reimburse 100% of the total cost of the translation/evaluation service. Students must complete the application for reimbursement available in the REVEST office.
Employment Referrals: The REVEST Program will refer participants to local South Florida Workforce Job Service Providers for employment assistant.
Childcare: The REVEST Program will refer participants to local childcare centers who will provide free childcare to income eligible applicants.
ID cards: Every MDC student must have a valid picture ID card. To get an ID, you must be registered for classes and have a validated class schedule. The teacher of your REVEST Program course will give you your validated schedule on the first day of class. To get the card, bring your validated schedule to the Office of Student Life (varies by Campus) where they will take your photograph and verify your status as a student of the college.
Parking: Parking is free for MDC students. You must show a valid student ID card or a schedule when you enter any MDC parking facility
