Barbara Rosenthal received her B.S.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Florida and her M.A.J.C.T. in Business Administration, M.B.A.and Certificate in International Trade from the University of Miami. Her experience in industry includes Associate Buyer for Burdines, Assistant Marketing Director for Miami National Bank and Assistant Director of Personnel for Dade County Police Department.

Her teaching interests include general business, marketing, public relations, management, business math and cooperative education. She previously directed the Food and Beverage Export Program and the International Trade Program for the College. She also coordinates the cooperative work experience internships in business. Professor Rosenthal has been active in many college activities including Faculty Senate, Promotions and Endowed Chair Committees, College-wide Compensation Committee, League for Innovation Steering Committee, CASSC, Student Enhancement Committee, and numerous screening and continuing contract committees.

Her Principles of Marketing classes were awarded first place in 1998 and second place in 1999, and first place again in 2000 in the national competitions held by General Motors for Marketing Interns. In 2001, Professor Rosenthal became the faculty advisor for the new chapter of Students in Free Enterprise on the Campus. The rookie team won two awards at the SIFE Regional Competition.

In 1998, Professor Rosenthal was awarded the Juan Galan, Jr. Endowed Teaching Chair in Entrepreneurship.
