How are things organized
in the library?
Wolfson Library uses the Library of Congress
classification system. Each letter of the alphabet represents
a subject, so materials are in order by subject.
Reference materials are located on the first floor,
and circulating materials (books, videos, DVDs, and CDs) are on
the second floor. There is no separate section for fiction or biography,
so it is best to use LINCCSearch to find them or ask a librarian for assistance.
The Reading Room contains
- a popular collection of recent books and audiotapes
including both fiction and non-fiction organized by title. In
the catalog, they have a prefix of MCN.
- popular videos (feature films in both VHS and
DVD) organized by title. In the catalog they have a prefix of
POPULAR.
- print magazines and newspapers on racks
The Service Window has
- materials on reserve
- back issues of magazines and newspapers
- microfilm
- laptops
The Circulation Area has
- books you ordered from another campus or community
college
