Ask A Librarian
When you are in the library, ask for assistance
at the Reference Desk.

When you can't come to the library,
you can visit the Virtual Reference desk and chat with
a librarian to get help with your information needs. The
service is available from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm EST,
7 days a week. When the chat service is closed, you can
ask a question by email. |
The service is a collaboration between
The
College Center for Library Automation (CCLA) and the Tampa
Bay Library Consortium (TBLC).
You can also call the Reference Desk for

InterCampus
Loans
You can order books from another campus
from LINCCSearch. Click the Click here to submit request
link about the call number. Enter your student number and
pin.
Some materials such as videos, reference
books, and materials in popular collections are not eligible
for InterCampus loan. The status will show Local Request
for these materials.
InterLibrary
Loans
If you can't find what you need in the Florida
community college system, use the WorldCat
database in FirstSearch to verify that another
library has it. Then fill out a form at the Reference
Desk or online to order the material:

Laptops
& Wireless
Wolfson Library has a wireless network
and laptops for check out for use in the library.
Laptops can be used anywhere in the
library -- downstairs for collaboration or upstairs
for quiet.
The laptop has the standard Microsoft
software. The network allows printing from the Print
Release Station on the first floor.
The wireless network is a closed network.
Desktop computers are also available.
To use a computer, sign up at the Service Window.

Account
Check your account online from the LINCCWeb
catalog . Click on My Account in the top
bar of the catalog screen. You can see what you have checked
out and when it's due. You can renew eligible materials from
this screen.
Reciprocal Borrowing
Miami Dade College students, faculty, and
staff may borrow materials from any of the 27 other community
college libraries or any of the 10 public university libraries
in Florida as long as they have a valid MDC ID
Reserves
Use the catalog to find materials -- books,
textbooks, articles, videos, notes, etc. -- that instructos
put on reserve. They will have a prefix of RES
in the call number. You may use these materials in the library.
Renewing Materials
Renew materials online by clicking
MyAccount in the LINCCWeb
catalog. You may also call 305 237-3144 or stop by the library.
Some materials are not eligible for renewal.
