Responsibilities:

My responsibility as the Fundraising Chair is to raise as much money as possible for Alpha Gamma Kappa. This may be accomplished through sales, donations, etc. Fundraising allows our members to be involved in the chapter and helps them to meet their Hallmark requirements. As a Leader and Board Member of PTK-AGK, I am responsible for all the members in this club. I am here to guide them as well as give support and encouragement at all times.

How I deal with my responsibilities?

My responsibility can be trying at times, but this is where my fundraising committee comes in. Everyone has a job to do. Also, the other board members are very helpful and supportive.  We all help each other out. After all, this is what true fellowship is all about.

How do I divide my time as a student and an Alpha Gamma Kappa board member?

When I became a board member, I adjusted my schedule in order to accommodate my PTK responsibilities. Balancing PTK and my studies is a skill that took time and determination. Once I mastered it, everything got equal attention.

What is your advice to future Fundraising Chairs?

PTK will help you in many ways, but you need to allow yourself to make the most of your PTK experience. In order to get the best out of PTK, you need to give it your best; this is especially true as a board member. Fundraising is a critical part of this club - there is little room for mistakes...
