The CASAS exam is a Paper and Pencil test used to place students into the appropriate level of Miami Dade College’s VESOL program.  It assesses student competency through a two-part examination, consisting of Reading and Listening Comprehension.  The exam is administered on an appointment basis.

Students are required to first go to the Community Education department, Room 1158, to get permission to take the test.  Students can only set an appointment to take the test by visiting our Testing department, Room 3104.  All students need to bring the permission slip given to them by the VESOL program in order to qualify to take the CASAS.
