Founded in 1885, this public 4-year university has a residential campus in a very large city. It has six colleges: College of Architecture, College of Computing, College of Engineering, DuPree College of Management, Ivan Allen College and the College of Sciences.
Transfer Agreement Highlights
The agreement establishes an Engineering Transfer program. An undergraduate student must complete a specific pre-Engineering program at MDC in order to transfer to Georgia Tech engineering program. In a reciprocal fashion, Georgia Tech will refer to Miami Dade College any high school applicant who applied and could not meet the admission standards at the time of his/her application and encourage them to follow the specific MDC engineering Transfer Program. Scholarships are available for MDC transfer students.
Students must attain a minimum overall Grade Point Average of 3.0 and a Grade Point Average of 3.0 in the math, science, and engineering core courses specified in the pre-engineering curriculum at MDC. Scholarship applications and letters of recommendations for MDC transfer students will be provided by the Engineering Chairperson and the Director of the School of Design Technology at MDC.
