Description
General education requirements at MDC are applied toward the equivalent lower division general education requirements which the university offers.
Transfer Agreement Highlights
The Southeast Florida Education Engineering Consortium provides a mechanism to increase the number of students in engineering, allowing students to complete an undergraduate degree in engineering in the same time frame as students who begin their education in a 4-year program.

The Southeast Florida Education Engineering Consortium facilitates articulation for students who begin their engineering studies at two-year schools with plans of earning their bachelor’s degrees in engineering at two state universities—FAU and FIU. A common set of prerequisites that will transfer into any engineering program has been established.
Scholarships
Transfer students who apply for scholarships must meet the eligibility requirements of the institution in terms of recognized outstanding achievement/exceptional academic accomplishments, as merit-based scholarships are awarded in limited numbers. However, in many cases, qualified students may receive a financial aid package which includes several types of financial assistance - scholarships and grants, low-interest loans, and employment opportunities.
