Description
Siena Heights University has a long and successful history serving college  Associate in Science graduates.  Siena Heights is a Catholic, coeducational university founded by the Adrian Dominican Congregation in 1919. SHU is a leader in non-traditional education.  It was the first private liberal arts college in Michigan to offer degree completion programs designed specifically for adult students.  It offers associate, bachelor, and master degrees.
Transfer Agreement Highlights
Effective Jan. 1, 2010, the MDC AS degree program in Sign Language Interpretation fulfills the major requirements for all Siena student candidates toward the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Sign Language Interpretation at SHU. To be admitted into Siena Heights, MDC students must complete and show proof of degree and major earned and submit an official academic degree transcript to SHU.  Grades of 2.0 and above will transfer.   The completed associate degree will be accepted in full by Siena. MDC student may transfer up to 90 semester hours of credit.   Thus, in addition to the 72 semester hours toward the AS in Sign Language Interpretation, up to 18 additional credits may be completed at MDC and transferred to Siena.
 
Candidates for the Bachelor’s degree at Siena must fulfill a liberal arts requirement and must demonstrate proficiency in writing and mathematics.  Appropriate personnel at Siena will determine completion of liberal arts requirements for the baccalaureate degree.
