  • Designing an Effective Course

  • Establishing a Productive Learning Environment

  • Using Active Learning Strategies

  • Promoting Higher Order Thinking

  • Assessing to Inform Instruction & Promote Learning

Faculty who successfully complete the course will earn 46 hours of Faculty Professional Development (FPD). You will also receive a Certificate in Effective College Instruction from ACUE, the only college teaching credential endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE).

Full-time Faculty should note that this course is approved as an exception to graduate credit for three (3) credits, which can be used for promotion or Endowed Teaching Chair applications.

Adjunct Faculty may use this course to partially satisfy the professional development requirement for the Adjunct Level 2 designation.
