Local Anesthesia for the Dental Hygienist
- Participants will learn the concepts of local anesthesia including pharmacology, indications, contraindications, anatomical considerations, armamentaria, and the management of complications and reactions.
- Participants will demonstrate techniques for safe and effective administration of local anesthesia.
- This course fulfills the Florida State Dental Practice Act Statute 466.017, SB 1040) requirement regarding the certification for the administration of local anesthesia for the Dental Hygienist.
