Jazz pianist, composer, arranger, recording artist and educator Andy LaVerne studied at the Juilliard School, the Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory – and took private lessons from legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans.

LaVerne has worked with a long list of distinguished artists including Frank Sinatra, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea, Branford Marsalis and other jazz greats. A prolific recording artist, he has over 70 projects as a leader as well as numerous sideman recordings.

He is a recipient of five Jazz Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, and won the 2000 John Lennon Songwriting contest for his composition "Shania." He has appeared at concerts, festivals and clubs throughout the world, and has also given clinics and master classes at universities, colleges and conservatories worldwide.

He will be performing works that Bill Evans recorded in a variety of performance settings including solo piano, duo with guitar, trio and quartet.
