Paul Bollenback is known for his versatility, as well as for his influential 20-year stint with jazz organist Joey DeFrancesco. He has performed on over 80 recordings as a sideman and has released eight CDs as lead artist. His latest recording with his trio, Portraits in Space and Time (Mayimba Music), was released in 2014.

As a sideman, Bollenback has played with a wide range of jazz luminaries, including Stanley Turrentine, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Charlie Byrd, Arturo Sandoval and Herb Ellis, among others. He also performed with the group East Meets Jazz, with renowned tabla virtuoso Sandip Burman.

Bollenback is also a talented composer whose pieces have appeared on Joey DeFrancesco's Reboppin' and on the CD Jazz Times Superband.

He has served as artist-in-residence at the Litchfield Jazz Festival Summer Music School and was a featured artist on the bill of Duquesne University's Summer Guitar & Bass Workshop. The guitarist teaches at Columbia University, Queens College and The New School, New York.

Bollenback has performed on numerous television programs, among them Entertainment Tonight, The Today Show and Good Morning America.
