A "Rising Star" in DownBeat magazine polls every year since 2013, Grammy-nominated violinist Sara Caswell regularly performs with her two groups, the Sara Caswell Quartet and the Caswell Sisters Quintet.

She has toured extensively and has performed and recorded with such artists as Brad Mehldau, Esperanza Spalding, Kishi Bashi and Bruce Springsteen, among others.

She is a member of The New York Pops orchestra with whom she has been a featured soloist several times in Carnegie Hall. She was part of the house band for NBC's weekly variety show Maya & Marty, starring Maya Rudolph and Martin Short.

Caswell is currently a faculty member of the Berklee College of Music and the Manhattan School of Music. Her most recent solo album, Alive in the Singing Air, is a collaboration with her sister, vocalist Rachel Caswell, and features jazz pianist Fred Hersch.
