Biography

For many years Jack Ciano performed in every facet of the music industry, from live shows to studio recording, from Country and Western music to Be-bop jazz and everything in between. He prided himself in being an eclectic musician.
 
The experience of performing with 20th century icons such as Gloria Estefan, Bruce Springsteen, BB King, Jaco Pastorious, Dizzy Gillesipie, has given him a unique perspective, an advantage he brings to his students which allows him to prepare them for their future in the music business.
 
Other artists he’s performed with were Eartha Kitt, Ed Calle, Ira Sullivan, Red Rodney, Late Night w/ David Letterman bassist Will Lee, Hiram Bullock, Lena Horne, Quincy Jones, bassist Louis Johnson, Marlina Shaw, Charley Austin, Peter Allen, Gap Mangione, Natile Cole, Jon Secada, and Island recording artist Bandera. 

He attended the prestigious University of Miami School.  He studied with great drum set masters Jack Red Snyder (Les Brown and his Band of Renown), Steve Bagby, University of Miami jazz drum instructor, Charles Perry, author, “The art of modern jazz drumming”, Gary Chester, New York studio session great, and author of the ground-breaking book, “The New Breed”.
