College Preparatory Writing 3
Catalog Description:
ENC 0021 is a college preparatory writing course which addresses
effective sentence, paragraph and essay development using standard
English. Lab required. Special fee. 4 Credits.
Prerequisites: CPT score of 71-82, PERT score of 90-98, or successful
completion of ENC 0020.
Course Competencies:
Competency 1:
The student will compose multi-paragraph essays which include:

The student will perform the steps of the writing process which
include the following:

punctuation |

capitalization |

run-ons (comma splices and fused sentences) |

Competency 4:
The student will be able to write under time constraints.
Competency 5
The student will pass the Florida College Basic Skills Exit
Test.

in order to retake ENC 0021. An appeal of this higher fee will be
considered for extenuating circumstances determined by the College
to be exceptional and beyond the control of the student.
