Assessment, Evaluation, and Testing

Assessment, Evaluation, and Testing (AET) provides expert technical support to the entire College community in the collection and use of assessment, evaluation, and testing evidence for the development, implementation, and improvement of academic programs, student services, administrative services, special initiatives, and other activities.

Mission

The mission of Assessment, Evaluation, and Testing is to provide high quality leadership and direction for the College's testing and assessment programs, development of college-wide testing policies and procedures, feedback programs, as well as testing and assessment related research. The office is committed to providing these services in a systematic, strategic, and ethical manner to ensure continuous improvement for academic and student services, campus testing directors, faculty, and all levels of staff and administrators.

Core Functions

  • Provides leadership and direction for College Assessment, Evaluation, and Testing programs.
  • Directs and plans College Feedback programs.
  • Supports and designs evaluation processes for College initiatives and grants.
  • Provides technical assistance and support to academic and non-academic areas to plan, implement, report outcomes-based effectiveness processes and conduct programmatic performance evaluations.
  • Serves as a resource and repository of college assessment and evaluation practices.



Miami Dade College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
