Dr. Susan Neimand Appointed to Executive Board of the Florida Association of Colleges of Teacher Education

Miami, April 26, 2010 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) InterAmerican Campus proudly announces the appointment of School of Education Director Dr. Susan Neimand as the new Florida State Colleges (FSC) Liaison to the Executive Board of the Florida Association of Colleges – Teacher Education (FACTE). 

“This two-year commitment is an honor and I am proud to serve,” Dr. Neimand said.

Dr. Neimand’s role on the Executive Board will be to ensure that Florida State College – Teacher Education programs have a voice during important state deliberations. She brings to the Board more than 35 years of experience as an educator, including serving 20 years as a principal, teaching at the university level, and working as an educational consultant and doctoral dissertation editor. In addition to serving on a number of local, state and national committees on education, she also has published several articles and book chapters.   

“Dr. Neimand is well-suited for the liaison position and we thank her for her willingness to take on this challenge,” said Dr. Carol Tulikangas, Academic Dean at the InterAmerican Campus.
