Miami Dade College Hialeah Campus Students Showcase Their Artistic Talents Feb. 22

Miami Dade College
’s (MDC) Hialeah Campus will participate in an exhibition in this year’s Art on Palm Festival. The Festival, coordinated by the City of Hialeah, will take place on Saturday, February 22, from 12:00 to 10:00 p.m., on Palm Avenue between Ninth Street and Okeechobee Road.
The exhibition will include artwork by students of Café Cultura and the Capture Photography Club, among other artistic submissions. Original paintings, drawings and photography by the award-winning student contributors will be on display for the Hialeah community to view and enjoy.
Festivalgoers will enjoy art exhibitions highlighting original pieces by more than 50 local artists, live music, family activities and the Palm Classic Car and Bike Show. This event is free and open to the public.
“This is a great opportunity for our students to showcase and share their creative talents with the community,” said Dr. Mattie Roig-Watnik, president of the Hialeah Campus. “Many of our students have won national awards for their photographs and other creative works.”
