Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner Presents New Book: Stress Test: Reflections on Financial Crises at Miami Dade College May 20

Miami, May 1, 2014 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) The Center for Literature and Theatre, in partnership with Books & Books, will present Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. Secretary Geithner will discuss his new book, Stress Test: Reflections on Financial Crises (Crown, $35) with White House correspondent for Bloomberg News & Television Julianna Goldman.

Geithner presided over the recent financial crisis in the U.S. from 2009 to 2013, when he served as the 75th Secretary of the Treasury under President Barack Obama. His decisions required swift and creative action to avert a second Great Depression and preserve the global economy. Stress Testis a candid account of the unprecedented effort to save the U.S. economy from collapse.

Vouchers for this event are available at Books & Books locations. The cost of the voucher is the price of the book ($35 + tax) and can be used as an entry for (2) people to the event.
