Miami Dade College to Host United States – European Union Forum May 15 & 16

Miami, May 13, 2014 - Miami Dade College (MDC) will host II United States European Union Forum: Looking towards the Future on Thursday and Friday, May 15 and 16, at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.

Presented by the Euroamérica Foundation and the City of Miami, the forum will explore the close ties between the United States and the European Union and the ways that a proposed Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership would affect the region, including neighboring Latin America. During the two-day event, different topics of interest will be discussed, such as: revitalizing the Transatlantic Relationship: Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP); the importance of the audiovisual and entertainment industry; and the role of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT´s), Innovation and Internet in developing countries, growth of business and creating new markets, and its influence on different production sectors.

MDC President Dr. Eduardo J. Padrón, City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, and Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez are all scheduled to speak, as are Congressmen Joe Garcia and Mario Diaz-Balart, among many others.
