Statement from Miami Dade College President Dr. Eduardo J. Padrón Regarding Passing of Legislation Authorizing In-State College Tuition for Undocumented Students

Dr Padron Headshot L

Miami, May 2, 2014 - It is indeed a great day for students and families across Florida now that the Legislature has passed legislation authorizing in-state college tuition for undocumented students.  This move further paves the pathway to the American Dream. The Legislature should be commended for its leadership on this issue. We all win when we increase college access. It’s the right thing to do. The investments we all make in education will finally pay dividends.
