SAS West Campus Donates to Project Upstart to Help the Homeless

Christmas presents in an office

Miami, January 10, 2017 - Project Upstart is a special program of Miami-Dade County Public Schools which is designed to support students whose families are homeless. Over the last few years, School for Advanced Studies has been a major contributor of donations to this organization.

The adjacent photo illustrates the 110 "Go Bags" that students at SAS West Campus contributed to Project Upstart contributed this month. These items will be delivered to Project Upstart so they can distribute them to the most deserving families in our community. SAS West Counselor Ody Ochoa helped to organize this very important effort.
