Chemistry Acceleration Readiness Test (CART)
The CART is an internet based test for students seeking to take CHM1045 and bypass CHM1025. A referral is required to take the CART. There is a 60 minute time limit. A calculator is available inside the test platform and a scientific calculator will be provided by the Testing Center. The passing score is 25 out of 50. The CART scores are provided at the conclusion of the test session and do not expire. No credit is awarded for passing the CART.
The CART contains material covered in an introductory college chemistry course and a high school chemistry course.
The ACCUPLACER Student Portal allows you to review your test scores, reprint your Individual Score Report (ISR), and send your scores to other institutions. Retest Procedure:
Retakes are not permitted. The CART can only be taken once. No retakes are available or allowed.

Request a remote test. Examinees must be checked-in and seated by the time scheduled in order to begin the test. Examinees will then have adequate time to finish the test in a reasonable period or within the Hours of Operation.

Auxiliary Aids and Modifications:
Under certain circumstances, arrangements for auxiliary aids and modifications are permissible. The College makes every reasonable effort to ensure equal access to educational opportunities and experiences for candidates with documented disabilities. These services can include:

- Adaptive or assistive technology
- Note takers

An ACCESS representative can help eligible candidates identify and arrange for accommodations that ensure success.
Instructions for Auxiliary Aids and Modifications:
- Candidate presents documentation to ACCESS department.
- ACCESS department intakes documentation.
- Accommodations are determined.
- ACCESS department informs Testing Center about candidate's accommodations.
- Candidate contacts Testing Center to schedule the test with accommodations.
- Testing Center plans for accommodated testing needs.
- Candidate tests.
