My Proudest Moment
My proudest moment at MDCC-Medical has been my work with the students from Booker T. Washington Sr. High (BTW) and the Overtown community through the CHESP grant. After learning of the alarming homelessness, poverty, crime and low-test scores of school-aged children throughout the area, my commitment and efforts became even greater. I believe the exposure and awareness that the students receive will impact their lives forever.
What I Would Change, If I Could...
My major from Public Administration to Education and then pursue a graduate degree in Educational Leadership. Although I enjoy serving in a leadership capacity, I also see a great need for more concerned teachers throughout urban communities. I believe teaching would give me a greater self-satisfaction because of the direct impact involved in the teacher learning process.
