The Certificate in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) provides individuals in the supply chain logistics field with a comprehensive body of knowledge, best practices, and industry standards. CLTD is an essential asset to both professionals and employers in today’s competitive, global economy. This program is certified by the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM).
This CNA course provides the knowledge and skills required to work in the Health Care Industry. This course includes test preparation for the Industry Certification Exam*.
* Prerequisites/Corequisite Information: High school diploma or equivalent (must be reflected on MDC transcript). In preparation for the Industry Certification exam, students must complete a CPR class and must pass a Level 2 background check. The CNA Industry Certification exam will be announced in class.
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to take the AAPC Professional Biller Certification exam. Students become familiar with the health insurance industry, legal and regulatory issues, and reimbursement methodologies. Students learn principles of medical billing related to proper claim form preparation, submission, payment processing, and follow up. This course is recommended for anyone preparing for a career in a medical billing department at a physician's office, clinic, or similar settings.
This course is designed to provide students with technical expertise in cloud concepts, global infrastructure/architecture, pricing, security, and support, while preparing them for the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Certified Cloud Practitioner exam. The content of all four domains of the exam is covered during the course. Becoming an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is a recommended, optional step toward achieving an Associate-level or Specialty certification.
This course helps students develop technical expertise in solutions architect role and prepares them for the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Solutions Architect Associate certification exam. The course focuses on the essentials of cloud computing, business security and compliance considerations, migrating to the cloud, architecting a cloud server, scalable distributed systems and how to troubleshoot cloud services. The exam validates your ability to effectively demonstrate knowledge of how to architect and deploy secure and robust applications on AWS technologies, define solutions through architectural design principles and provide implementation guidance throughout project life cycle.
This course teaches students foundational Java programming skills and concepts. Students acquire an understanding of a professional Java Programmer’s role while completing hands-on projects and in-class exercises. Course content focuses on conditionals, loops design principles, patterns and programming fundamentals. This course serves as preparation for the Java SE Programmer I Exam (1Z0-808). The Java SE Programmer I Exam is the first of two Exams needed to obtain the Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 11 Developer Credential.
