  Health Sciences and Related Studies Department
 


The Health Sciences and Related Studies Department offers many of the currently required Natural Sciences and General Education course offered by the College. These are the college credit and vocational credit courses and labs needed to enter and graduate from the various Health Care programs offered at the Medical Center Campus of Miami Dade College. These courses include:

• Human Anatomy and Physiology • Microbiology
• Chemistry for Health Sciences • Human Growth and Development
• Psychology of Personal Effectiveness • Introduction to Health Care
• Introduction to Health Careers

These courses are taught at the Medical Center Campus, the other campuses of Miami Dade College and offered at local health care organizations through the Alliance for Employee Advancement.

The Alliance for Employee Advancement is a cooperative effort between health care organizations in Miami Dade County and the Medical Center Campus of Miami Dade College. This alliance provides on-site educational opportunities to college students and employees in the health care field.
