In an effort to further enhance effective communication during an emergency, Miami Dade College has partnered with Miami-Dade County and Inspiron Logistics to launch a new wireless emergency notification system called Miami Dade College Alerts.
Currently, Miami Dade College uses a number of resources, such as hotlines, the Web, voicemail, the media and press releases, to notify its community of a college emergency. Miami Dade College Alerts enhances these communication resources by adding the capability to quickly notify registered users through text messaging, personal e-mail and/or pagers.
Everyone in the MDC community is strongly encouraged to participate in order to maximize the effectiveness of Miami Dade College Alerts.
