Emergency telephones with direct access to the Department of Public Safety are located throughout the campus and in all elevators.
Emergency assistance may also be requested by dialing 911 from any of the public telephones located throughout each campus.

Each campus Chief of Public Safety reviews all violations of law reported to the campus security department or college security officers. Each of the campus chiefs works with local police in the reporting, investigation and prevention of violations of the law which may occur on College property.

Reporting crime to the campus community: Campus student newspapers provide announcements and news stories regarding security issues and concerns. Each campus administration submits announcements and notices to student newspapers and to employee mail boxes concerning security matters when deemed appropriate.

As required by the Federal Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, Crime Statistics for each campus at Miami Dade College are available at the Student Dean's Office or the Campus Security Office.

In accordance with state statutes, registered sexual predators and sexual offenders must register with the Department of Law Enforcement. Convicted sex offenders from out of state must register in Florida within 48 hours of establishing residence.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has set a web site for interested parties to search their database. This database may be used to find sex offenders and predators by either name, address, city, county, or zip code. That site is:
