Welcome to the College Training and Development Web site. The purpose of CT&D is to prepare Miami-Dade College employees to develop the skills needed for current jobs, assist them in effectively responding to job changes and prepare them for future job requirements.

Do you need a workshop for yourself or your department?   If it is not scheduled in our Catalog, please fill out the CT&D Contact Form and a CT&D representative will be in touch to discuss options.

There are more than 7000 people in MDC's full and part-time workforce. They provide a rich variety of credit and non-credit programs and support services for MDC's 160,000+ students on multiple campuses, in numerous outreach centers and online. CT&D is committed to supporting the training and development needs of MDC's faculty, staff and administrators and providing training opportunities at work sites whenever feasible.

These pages will address these goals as well as provide resources for training and for integrating technology into the curriculum. You can send comments and suggestions to CTD personnel through our Contact page.

Design Your Own Spring Break Seminar: Technology

Faculty members and lab technicians discuss projects and instructional technologies during the annual Design Your Own Spring Break Seminar. Each year 30 faculty members are selected to receive training and technical assistance during the seminar. Participants propose a project that uses technology to enhance a lesson and design their own training plan during the intensive 3 1/2 day event. See Slideshow from the last Seminar held at North Campus.
