Welcome to the College Training and Development Web site. The purpose of CT&D is to prepare Miami-Dade College employees to develop the skills needed for current jobs, assist them in effectively responding to job changes and prepare them for future job requirements.

Do you need a workshop for yourself or your department?   If it is not scheduled in our Catalog, please fill out the CT&D Contact Form and a CT&D representative will be in touch to discuss options. 

There are more than 7000 people in MDC's full and part-time workforce. They provide a rich variety of credit and non-credit programs and support services for MDC's 160,000+ students on six campuses, in numerous outreach centers and online. CT&D is committed to supporting the training and development needs of MDC's faculty, staff and administrators and providing training opportunities at work sites whenever feasible.

Programs for Civic Learning

About 100 faculty and administrators attended a workshop on "Designing Programs for Civic Learning Outcomes" recently. This session was facilitated by nationally recognized leader and speaker on this topic, George Mehaffy, who focused on leadership, change, and civic engagement in higher education.
