Description:
Take your learning content from static to ecstatic and create Webpages for your classes form easy-to-use templates. During this training, participants will learn how to use softChalk eLearning authoring system to convert a current lesson created in a Microsoft word into an interactive lesson that can be uploaded into ANGEL. They will also learn easy ways to include various interactive activities such as text poppers and quiz poppers into their lessons. Other activities such as charts, crossword puzzle, did you know, drag and drop, flash card, hot spot, jigsaw puzzle, labeling, ordering, photo album, seek a word, slide show, and sorting, tabbed information and timelines will be introduced. Participants will learn how to upload content to ANGEL and ato automatically link activities to the ANGEL Gradebook if desired.

Objectives

As a result of successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Convert a static page into an interactive webpage 
• Use and include text popper and quiz popper
• Create at least two or more activities into a lesson
• Create and link at least one video or audio resource into a lesson
• Upload content to ANGEL
• Link activities to the ANGEL Gradebook

How to Register

Registration for CT&D workshops are through the Student Information and Registration system.  The process for registering for a CTD workshop will be the same as registering for a regular class at MDC.  

New - Easier registration for workshops

You can access the Registration System and register for a CTD workshop using the same user name and password that use to login to your computer.    Example:   Richard Johnson  would be rjohnson     (You will NOT need to create a separate student myMDC account to register for a CTD workshop) 

Make a note of the Reference Number for the workshop then go to Registration Instructions

Once you have registered for a class, you can print your schedule.    Please make every effort to attend once you've registered as seats are limited.     However, If you need to drop, you can also do this through the Web Registration screen.     CTD classes will appear on your transcript as non-credit classes.
