Description
:
Come see how how this amazing new resource available to MDC faculty, staff and students can bring history to life, make current events relevant and provide access to special video collections designed for higher education. NBC Learn leverages nearly 80 years of historic news coverage, documentary materials, and current news broadcasts. In this blended workshop, faculty will learn how to access and create playlists from the thousands of video clips in the archives, including great historic moments--from the Great Depression to the Space Race to the latest political coverage -- as well as primary source materials and special collections such as the Writer’s series and the Science of the Hockey or Football.  Participants will also create and share a Lesson using this resource in a MDC lesson repository. This assignment will be due two weeks after the hands-on session.
