Description:
Three part webinar workshop designed to facilitate your campus team’s
learning as you design programmatic assessment plans. The ultimate
intention of this workshop is for you and your institutional team to
walk away from the 3-part workshop with a refined assessment plan and/or
report, depending on where you are in your assessment process. The
webinars are designed to be highly interactive with activities that you
complete and share with colleagues going through the workshop.
Session II will focus on mapping SLOs to programs and services and designing evaluation tools and criteria and will include activities such as
Mapping SLOs to programs and activities
Self-critiquing five current students learning outcomes and mapping
Peer evaluating of at least two other sets of learning outcomes and mapping
Self-critiquing of evaluation methods and criteria
Peer evaluating of at least two other sets of evaluation methods and accompanying criteria
Determining how decisions can be made with this type of data
Objectives
As a result of successful completion of the
workshop, participants will be able to:
Explain the mapping process
Identify at least two different ways to evaluate each outcome
Identify how outcomes need to be refined
Explain the most systematic place to evaluate learning
Explain the difference between methods and tools
Identify evaluation method/tool limitations
Articulate expectations for performance level for each evaluation method
Identify appropriate criteria for each evaluation method/tool, as appropriate

Registration for CT&D workshops are through the Student Information and Registration system. The process for registering for a CTD workshop will be the same as registering for a regular class at MDC.
You can access the Registration System and register for a CTD workshop using the same user name and password that use to login to your computer. Example: Richard Johnson would be rjohnson (You will NOT need to create a separate student myMDC account to register for a CTD workshop)
Make a note of the Reference Number for the workshop then go to Registration Instructions
Once you have registered for a class, you can print your schedule. Please make every effort to attend once you've registered as seats are limited. However, If you need to drop, you can also do this through the Web Registration screen. CTD classes will appear on your transcript as non-credit classes.
